The Answers You Need, When You Need Them
Posted by Jean
You’ve likely seen my weekly Money 911 segment on NBC’s Today – in fact, I post a video on this blog each week, in case you miss the live version.
I hope that the questions I’ve answered in those segments have helped you, and that they continue to do so. But it’s impossible for me to get to every question that hits my inbox. You no doubt have more money questions, and for those, I encourage you to check out my new book, also called Money 911, which is hitting shelves as we speak. The book, the longest I’ve ever written, is intended to be a reference rather than a cover-to-cover read. It’s intricately indexed so you can easily flip to the section that matters to you right now – whether that’s mortgages, debt, estate planning, smart shopping, or setting up a monthly budget. You’ll find the answers you need to solve your most pressing financial problems:
- Which credit cards should I pay off first?
- How can I prepare financially for a baby?
- I have nothing set aside for retirement. Where do I start?
- What are the rules for consolidating student loans?
As well as a compilation of my trusted resources, like other books, associations, and government agencies, that you can use to learn more. It’s very much like having me right on your very own bookshelf.
For more information on this new book – and to see the outcome of two questions I answered earlier this year on Today’s Money 911 – check out my segment from this morning:

I love your new book, Money 911. I just picked up the digital version of it a few days ago. It is the most useful personal finance tool I have ever come across. Thank you so much Mrs. Chatzky. I can now start off the New Year right
